People building intentional communities have to coordinate land, money, governance, labor, meetings, and care across a patchwork of documents and general-purpose tools. The practical knowledge is scattered too, so each new group is left to rediscover the same systems on its own.
[Approach]
- 01Built a private Workroom where members can see their work, decisions, deadlines, and next meeting without sorting through a generic project manager.
- 02Created Working Circles, the Tidepool proposal room, consent records, a task board, and the Helm meeting view so discussion can move into a documented decision and assigned work.
- 03Connected the people side to the place itself through member and sanctuary directories, land research, mapped chapters, and a blueprint for land, governance, money, and care.
- 04Added a shared library and funding board so sources, agreements, opportunities, deadlines, and applications stay with the community rather than one organizer's inbox.
[Outcome]
A working cooperative platform for documenting and practicing shared governance, researching land, coordinating people, and turning what a community learns into a living body of work others can use.
