[Problem]
Aquaculture training teaches you how to grow the crop and almost never how to run the business around it. The people already on the water, and the faculty trying to teach them, have no single place to learn permitting, budgeting, pricing, and market strategy in a form they can actually use on Monday morning.
[Approach]
- 01Wrote a nineteen module course that runs the business side end to end, from siting and permits through cash flow, pricing, buyers, and a finished feasibility study.
- 02Built the platform itself: self paced lessons, graded checkpoints, progress tracking, a downloadable template pack, and a certificate that only issues on real completion.
- 03Priced it in four depths, Tidepool through Full Send, with a Faculty Pass that licenses the slide decks, instructor checklists, quiz banks, and editable syllabus to one instructor at one institution.
- 04Every tier carries the Driftline sliding scale rate, so the entry point is $44 rather than a barrier.
[Outcome]
A working school rather than a proposal: paid enrollment, installment plans, faculty licensing, and a curriculum that can be handed to another instructor without me in the room.
